There are many miracles that occurred because of the Brown Scapular of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. Before I tell you about some of the miracles, I must say there is no power in the Brown Scapular. It’s NOT a lucky charm or a rabbit’s foot! These miracles happened because devout Catholics had deep faith in God and trusted in the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary who is always protecting the faithful Scapular wearer. These miracles are authentic and are approved by the Catholic Church.
A Fire Miracle
The first miracle that I want to talk about happened in May of 1957 in Westboden, Germany. There was a row of twenty-two homes built close together. A devout Catholic family lived in one of these homes. A fire that broke out and spreading very rapidly. The devout Catholic man quickly ran outside and wrapped his Brown Scapular around the door knob. The flames of the fire blew completely over his home. Twenty-two homes burned to the ground while his was still standing with the Brown Scapular attached to the doorknob.
A Carmelite Priest Miracle
This miracle happened in the Holy land near Mt. Carmel in 1944. A Carmelite priest was on his way to visit a dying person to give him last rights. The day was very rainy and the ground was extremely muddy. He was traveling on a bus that got stuck in the ground because of the mud and the rain. He needed to get to the dying man so he decided to walk the rest of the way. As he was walking, the priest starting sinking deep into the mud and became stuck. He quickly kissed his Brown Scapular and turned his head towards Mt. Carmel and shouted for help to the Blessed Virgin Mary. A minute later, the priest was pulled out of the mud.
