Our Lady of Fatima appeared to three shepherd children in Fatima, Portugal on the 13th of each month beginning on May 13, 1917. This continued for six consecutive months. The Blessed Mother appeared to Francisco, Jacinta and Lucia asking them to pray for conversion of sinners and to make sacrifices. This was because of the many offenses made against Our Lord Jesus Christ. On the last apparition, October 13, 1917, seventy thousand people witnessed the spinning sun.
The Blessed Virgin appeared, dressed in the blue and white robes of Our Lady of the Rosary. Saint Joseph then appeared holding the Child Jesus. He made the Sign of the Cross three times over the world. Lucia also saw Our Lady dressed in purple robes representing Our Lady of Sorrows. Finally, the Blessed Virgin appeared again to Lucia in all Her brightness. She was clothed in the simple brown and white robes of Mount Carmel. She was holding the Holy Rosary in one hand and the Brown Scapular in another. In addition, to Her messages of conversions of sinners and for sacrifices, she wishes everyone to pray the Holy Rosary daily and to wear the Brown Scapular of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. Here are the words of Lucia Santos.
“Between the Holy Rosary and the Brown Scapular the world will be saved.” Meaning that the Blessed Virgin Mary will crush the serpent’s head!!!!! Let’s heed to Our Lady’s call and pray the Holy Rosary daily and wear the Brown Scapular.
